Born Forsaken - Prologue
The room was so incredibly bare. Despite the tyrant king's hunger for artifacts and grandeur, the room that held his greatest treasures was as bare as its unadorned stone walls.
Torches were the only things mounted upon the tall stone walls. The ceiling was lost in the deep darkness above, and no chandeliers hung from rafters or arches. The only furniture in the long hall was a table at the far end, on which rested the king's most prized possessions.
